This public day use area has a boat launch ramp and parking. The area has a gradual walk to the water with good locations for shoreline fishing. It is a good place to have a bring a blanket picnic, swim, or fish along the lake shore. This is the northern gateway to the Hand Cove/Jordan Area beaches and Sand Island.

Norfork is one of four multiple-purpose projects constructed in the upper White River Basin for control of floods and generation of hydroelectric power.
